Project Description

We designed, manufactured and trialled the Exim Tidal Turbine – an experimental tidal generator.

The turbine was designed to generate 25KW in a typical Shetland tidal stream. To ensure the turbine met this power benchmark it was trialled in Yell Sound.

The turbine blades, shafts and supporting frame were manufactured in our workshops.
